Diane von Furstenberg talks kitchen design

Due to come out in January, the line includes a number of bedding and bath products, as well as those for the tabletop and leading fashion lady Diane von Furstenberg, speaking to Women's Wear Daily, noted that she strived to create something "colourful, happy and harmonious".

She continued, stating that her own homes are "very comfortable" and do not emanate a decorated feel, with her creations divided up into sea, city and country, so there is an option for everyone.

However, this has not always been the case and von Furstenberg went on to admit that when she first came to New York in the 1970s, her living spaces - possibly including kitchens - were all "tented", with a richer appearance.

But kitchen design and other projects are not all that she keeps busy with - von Furstenberg is also something of a philanthropist and works with a lot of charities, such as KIPP NYC.
