Complete your new kitchen with stylish cutlery

Investing in some stylish cutlery can help transform a new kitchen into the ideal place from which to entertain guests, homeowners have been advised.
While many Britons now acknowledge that, as well as helping to make their home look better, contemporary kitchens can also help to boost a property's value, many continue to fill their new cupboards and drawers with shabby knives, forks and plates.
As such, Laurie Davidson of the Beautiful Kitchens blog has advised the proud owners of new kitchens to turn their attention to place settings and aim for something a little better than a "bog-standard" set to cutlery.
Citing the new range from Pied a Terre, she explains that such a small-scale investment can work wonders for anyone keen on hosting dinner parties, with shy knives and forks transforming even the simplest of suppers into a glamorous night in.
Meanwhile, Emily Pointer of the same blog recently noted that the popularity of kitchen-diners, whereby a dining area is incorporated into a new kitchen design, is showing "no signs of slowing down".
