Follow interior design trends with purple or grey kitchens

Purple and grey are the hottest colours in contemporary kitchens right now, homeowners have been advised.
Publishing a list of the biggest trends in home decor compiled by the Philippine School of Interior Design, the Manila Bulletin says that both designers and consumers are moving away from traditional colour schemes such as white and beige and opting to be different.
Specifically, the newspaper states: "Today, purple and grey are strong contenders for creating great colour palettes and combinations."
At the same time, the report also notes that it is not only the colour of new kitchens that designers are experimenting with.
Indeed, many are now adopting an "anything goes" approach to interior design, bringing together a range of varying styles in a bid to create a "strong visual impact".
This point is illustrated by the kitchen design tips offered on the 4Homes website, with homeowners advised that adding a wall of colour in this part of the house can add extra character and warmth to a home.
