New Hoover dishwasher for kitchens adds third drawer

Hoover has unveiled a new dishwasher that could be ideal for kitchens where a lot of washing up takes place.
The Hoover DDY068T dishwasher has three drawers instead of the usual two to accommodate small items such as cheese graters, spatulas and espresso cups.
According to Which?, the extra drawer means ten per cent more objects can be placed in the dishwasher compared with standard products.
A spokesperson for Hoover said that attempting to wash small items in traditional dishwashers can mean space is wasted.
"It'll be interesting to see how easy it is to load," commented Which? dishwasher expert Vivienne Fitzroy.
"I'm also keen to find out if the items at the very top of the machine are cleaned as well as those nearer the spray arm at the bottom."
Miele recently showcased its own three-drawer dishwasher at a benefit for the American Society of Interior Designers in Florida, which displayed some of the most innovative new kitchen appliances on the market.
Pam Durkin of the society told the Naples Daily News that it is
possible to fill the dishwasher with everything from a dinner party
while guests are still present, as it is extremely quiet while in
operation.
