Use the right colours to create the perfect traditional kitchen

As well as considering about what type of work surfaces or appliances they would like, homeowners looking to invest in new kitchens have also been urged to give careful thought to colour schemes.
Explaining that colour is so important that it can "make or break the look of a room", Rosemary Sadez Friedmann of the Scripps Howard News Service advised that traditional colours are best for creating a formal new kitchen.
Blues, greens and gold are ideal for homeowners looking to make this part of the house look classy, she commented.
As well as painting the walls in these colours, it is also possible to use accessories against a backdrop of a white wall in order to achieve the same effect.
At the same time, Ms Friedmann advises that matching curtains to the rest of the kitchen's decor can further enhance this feeling of formality.
Warm, neutral shades like walnut, slate, sand, celadon and magnolia could also be perfect for kitchens, according to the Sun Herald.
